Merry Christmas from the Sondahls!
2007 was a year of milestones and great leaps
Brad
did a lot of traveling, including here on a bus (and lots of train
riding) in Chicago to visit Forrest and Susa and attend the Chicago
Folk Festival (in extremely cold weather). Birrion completed his college degree with honors. This was his birthday celebration in March, with customary skier's tan.
Susa and Forrest came to visit and took turns with Birrion practicing leaps in Lake Coeur D'Alene.
In the summer, Althea and Brad took a trip to discover new falls and a cave in nearby Pend O'Reille county Washington. Forrest took the greatest leap of his life, marrying Susa Stone, thus becoming a new couple, the Stonedahls. Here Forrest plunges while Birrion steels himself for the plunge into frigid Lake Superior. Lake Superior was just that--a superior lake, full of wonderful sights.
But the most extraordinary sight was of these young people making their leaps. Shortly
after the wedding, Brad toured Europe with his mother Marion, such as
this scene in Bad Kissengen, a Bavarian spa town of flowers and stately
architecture.
Althea's mother, Birdine Samuelson, lived to her 90th birthday in November, but passed away peacefully soon after.
We
are thankful for the support of friends and family throughout the
varied events of this year, and are thankful to God for his constant
care for us. Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good night.
